The Public Digitalization Program (PDP) continued today with its second day of activities, focusing on innovation and digitalization at the local level in the province of Cáceres. The day began with a visit to the Circular Fab center, an open innovation space promoted by the Provincial Council of Cáceres.
Agustín Aretio, head of the innovation area of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, together with Miguel Ángel Moreno, director of the center, and Maribel Orjuela, technical manager, welcomed the Romanian delegation to explain the nature and purpose of the Circular Fab. This center seeks to facilitate adaptation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, offering local communities access to new technologies and resources to reinvent their ways of employment and life.
The group then travelled to the town of Serradilla, where they were received by the Mayor, Francisco Javier Sánchez Vega, and the Town Council Secretary, Alberto Llorente. Both presented the digitalization scheme that is transforming the town, highlighting specific projects and answering questions from the participants about the implementation and benefits of these initiatives.
The day culminated with a lunch in Torrejón el Rubio, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the Monfragüe National Park, a perfect setting to foster dialogue and collaboration among attendees.
The PDP continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting digitalization and innovation, crucial aspects for sustainable development and technological advancement in the region.
