The fifth and final day of the Public Digitalization Program (PDP) marked the conclusion of an inspiring week of learning, cooperation, and cultural discovery. The day unfolded in the historic city of Cáceres, where institutional recognition and cultural immersion framed the closing activities.

The morning began at the Cáceres City Council, in the Salón de Plenos, where the delegation was welcomed by Rafael Mateos, Mayor of Cáceres. Alongside him, Emilio Borrega, Councilor for Employment, Human Resources, Innovation, E-Administration, Enterprise and Institutional Relations, and Antonio Jesús González, Head of the IT Department, shared the city’s digital agenda. Their presentations highlighted the municipality’s efforts to modernize services, promote innovation, and strengthen institutional transparency for the benefit of citizens.

The official diploma ceremony followed, recognizing the dedication of the 35 Romanian public officials who had participated in the program. For many, this moment symbolized not only the end of a week of intensive work but also the beginning of long-term collaboration across borders.

Afterwards, the group visited the Helga de Alvear Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most remarkable cultural institutions in Cáceres. Immersed in a collection that bridges tradition and modern creativity, participants reflected on how art and culture also serve as powerful tools for innovation and dialogue.
