The third day of the Public Digitalization Program (PDP) took participants to Seville, where the spotlight was placed on two of the region’s most influential institutions: the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) and the Seville Provincial Council (Diputación de Sevilla).
At the Seville Chamber of Commerce, the delegation was welcomed by Carmen León Bertrand, Deputy Director of the Digital Society at the Andalusian Digital Agency, who presented Andalusia’s roadmap for digital transformation, stressing inclusive policies and technological innovation as drivers of competitiveness and social well-being.
Following her presentation, Mª Carmen Rodríguez Quirós, Manager of the Provincial IT Society of the Seville Provincial Council, shared insights into the province’s efforts to modernize municipal services, reduce the digital divide, and promote territorial cohesion across its towns and cities.
The institutional sessions were followed by one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the week: a guided visit to Seville’s historic heart. The group toured the Cathedral of Seville, the Parque de María Luisa, and the narrow streets of the old city—experiencing firsthand the cultural wealth and architectural splendor that have made Seville a world-renowned destination.
The afternoon concluded with a free city tour, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Andalusia’s capital while continuing informal exchanges about governance, innovation, and cross-border cooperation.
This third day not only showcased Andalusia’s leadership in digital transformation but also highlighted Seville’s role as a living bridge between heritage and modernity.
