The city of Cáceres has welcomed this Monday the first day of the Public Digitalization Program (PDP), an outstanding initiative of EBS Business School (EBS), with the financial support of the European Union, the Government of Romania and the Northeast Region. This program is specially designed for 25 senior managers and public administration managers from the Northeast region of Romania, focused on improving public management through digitalization.

The event has started punctually at 9:00 AM at EBS headquarters. Carlos Ongallo, director of the School, opened the day with an intensive session on Spain’s National Digitalization Strategy, which will run until 2027, marking an important milestone in the country’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation.

Subsequently, Emilio Borrega, Councilor for E-Administration of the City Council of Cáceres, welcomed the group. In his speech, Borrega has exposed the digital strategy of the city, an ambitious project that began in 2021 led by Antonio Jesús González and his team, highlighting the main achievements and future plans that place Cáceres at the forefront of municipal digitization.

After the official photos at the door of the city hall, the participants have had the opportunity to learn about the rich history and cultural heritage of Cáceres through a guided tour of the monumental city. This activity was not only a moment of relaxation, but also a way to inspire the leaders of the Northeast region of Romania through the perfect combination of tradition and modernity that Caceres offers.

The PDP week promises to be a platform for learning and sharing knowledge and experiences, which will undoubtedly contribute to the empowerment of leaders in implementing effective digital strategies in their respective areas of influence.
